Hey everyone,

Anyways, stay tuned everyone! My episode 5 review is now officially 52% complete, and I have some exciting new series to introduce to my blog as well.

Thanks to all my dedicated viewers for continuing to visit the site weekly! It helps me pay my rent and food.

GlassLip: Episode 4

This has gone on for far too long.

Episode Rating: 7.5/10

So the main reason that this episode has garnered such a rating is simply because it had almost no components involving Touko's psychic ability, and how predictable the events were.

Well first off, there are 2 key events that happen and a smaller side event, all having to do with developing the romantic element of the anime. So as I said before, most of the romantic relationships have been established (possibly tentative). In this episode we see Imi having some alone time to talk to Touko but surprisingly, we also see Kakeru talking a bit to Yanagi. Imi, being the frustrated little teenage boy, blurts out that Touko might actually like Kakeru. This part is absolutely hilarious as I believe this actually made Touko think about it and believe it.

Past experiences have shown that Touko has almost 0 capabilities when it comes to determining who likes who. Seeing as to how everyone knew that Imi like Touko except for herself, the above point has been proven. With that said, even if she had any feelings for Kakeru in the first place, she herself would most likely not have noticed until a long long time after. Ironically, it is Kakeru's "rival" who sparks this feeling in her and ultimately removes himself from the possibility of a romantic relationship with Touko. Basically, Imi screwed himself over.

Now of course, these types of anime have to have some spying involved. We've already seen some when Yanagi was spying on Imi's confession to Touko. This obviously happens again, and this time it's Touko "suddenly" appearing at the scene where Kakeru and Yanagi were together. This was pretty predictable in a sense that Kakeru would be get caught with another girl and Touko would see, at least to me it was pretty obvious that it was bound to happen. Of course, most of what occurs between them is platonic (maybe), but Touko doesn't know that and gets flustered and leaves. What doesn't make too much sense to me is the fact that if Touko was already there, that would be assuming she walked around in the rain (as it didn't stop too long ago before that scene) with only her hat, which is highly unlikely. Of course there is the possibility that the school was relatively close to that position or she put her umbrella in her handbag. However, even I don't think you would put a wet umbrella in your handbag. Some logical issues there.

Of course we can not forget about the date between Hiro and Sachi. Nothing much there. Guy tries to be someone he's not. Falls asleep during date. Eh.... we'll see where this goes.

Overall this episode didn't really introduce much. The biggest was probably the possible feelings that Kakeru and Yanagi might have for eachother. Although if there are, it will most likely be Yanagi liking Kakeru, and ironically she is Touko's rival again (sad). I still look forward to the moment when Touko's psychic powers become more prevalent in the anime.

Sword Art Online 2: Episode 5

Can't even lie, this is pretty creepy.
Episode Rating: 9/10

Overall, this episode was pretty good. We get to witness for the first time how Kirito performs in PVP battles, Shino finally realizes the truth and of course, the ending showed an amazing connection between season 1 and 2.

So first, I must say that I was a bit disappointed at the fact that people outside weren't watching Kirito's match. From the impression given to me from the previous episode, energy sword users were extremely unique and practically never seen. I thought more people would be surprised at how he was able to use it to deflect bullets or w.e but in the end only Death Gun noticed or cared it seems. Although it is pretty cool that Kirito was one of the first to finish his match as the auditorium/waiting room was still relatively empty as he left, so I guess that's a good thing.

Now we all knew this was coming, but Shino finally figures out that Kirito is a male. Facepalm. Of course this was going to happen eventually, all though I must say I did not expect it to happen so soon. However, I am not concerned about the fact that she figured out, but I'm more interested in that face she made O_O. Usually I never put more than one picture in my posts but this is an exception.

I mean look at that, that is a creepy ass face. Her determination to kill all the strong ones is questionable and seems to be bordering insanity by the looks of that face. It also makes Kirito ponder the possibility that Shino might indeed actually be Death Gun as he is also targeting all the top players right now (assuming that he is a he). However the end of the episode reveals that this is most likely not the case.

When Kirito gets out of his match, he is creepily greeted by Death Gun. Again, I did not think their meeting would be so soon. Shino is most likely still in the game at this point so the possibility that Death Gun is her has dramatically lowered. However it can not be forgotten that when Kirito tried to look for Shino's match on the broadcasters, he was unable too (although he only tried for like 5 seconds before he met Death Gun). The most important part of the episode happens here as Kirito realizes that Death Gun was a SAO survivor and noticed that Death Gun carried the emblem of the red player guild/dark guild The Laughing Coffin. This has shown a unique connection between the very first arc of the first season to the second season. This has made me really look forward to the oncoming episodes as I want to see what Kirito will do with this information in mind, since originally his job was to only get information on Death Gun and talk to him. Also, we can't forget that the episode ended in the middle of their interaction so there is definitely going to be more talking between them.

Next saturday, episode 6, can't wait, bye!

Sword Art Online 2: Episode 1-4 impressions

So....why does Kirito look like a g.....you know what, whatever works.
Sword Art Online, in my opinion, was completely, absolutely, okay. There was a lot of hate (or at least I heard a lot) saying that it was overhyped and not that amazing, and in most cases I agree. However, that does not immediately make it bad. Too many people think, ohhh mainstream, must be terrible. That is not true however cause even mainstream animes must be good in some regards. This however goes the other way as well where people think mainstream animes must be amazing and the best animes available, which again is not true. Basically, what I was trying to say was, Sword Art Online was pretty good, not amazing, but good enough. Sword Art Online 2 meets the same quality and expectations left behind by SAO and perhaps even exceeds them (at least for my opinion).

Personally, I am a gigantic, huge, tremendous fan of the main character showing off. Since the stats for most VRMMORPG's are transferable, Kirito starts off with huge stats and an OP reaction speed which he successfully demonstrates in episode 4. SOOOOO COOOOOOOOOOOOOL LIKE WHEN HE DODGES ALL THOSE BULLETS OMG!!!!! Anyways, back to the topic. Having Kirito shown off as such a powerful player really got me anticipating the next episodes because I really wanted to see how well Kirito would do in an actual PVP battle with others and whether he would completely dominate the field. The fact that he uses an energy sword (a weapon class that is rarely used) made me even more excited.

A rival character has already been established for Kirito and she goes by the name of Shino Asada. She is known as the best sniper in the game and is the character who helps Kirito integrate into the new game GGO. GGO is a unique VRMMORPG as the ingame currency can be transferred into real life currency. So you can say that the environment in that game is extremely competitive. I look forward to the inevitable battle between Kirito and Shino (trust me, there will be one).

The main reason why Kirito has to transfer from ALO to GGO is because of the new antagonist who for some reason is able to shoot people in GGO and by doing so, kill the players in reality, named Death Gun. The amusphere, the new VRMMORPG console has safety locks to prevent it from reaching high electrical volts so that it is not capable of damaging humans. I am interested as to how this Death Gun is able to kill these people. It is also note worthy to mention that he is only aiming for the top players of the game. We shall see where this leads too as he is tasked with stopping (well learning, but we know it's stopping) Death Gun.

Overall, I am extremely excited to see how Kirito will prove himself one of the strongest in the tournament he joined (Battle of Bullets, BoB for short) and how he unravels the mystery of Death Gun.

Episode 5 review soon to be out!

GlassLip Ep 1 - 3 Impression

3 Guys, 3 Girls.......hmm this is a tricky one.
So over the summer when I've been bored, I have decided to watch some anime again. Not really having much of an idea as to what was popular this season, I decided to go to Crunchyroll to see the popularity lists and I came across this little anime here called GlassLip. I have so far watched episode 1-3 and so farm my impression of it is.....well I can't really explain it with an adjective so I'll just talk about it.

So of course, this starts off as a normal slice of life with a small twist to it, the fact that the main heroine,  Fukami Touko has the ability to use glass as a catalyst to see into the future (Brown hair girl on the bottom left of the picture above). Seeing as how this is one of the main features differentiating this anime from others, not much is explained and seen about it in the beginning, making me come to the conclusion that it is a slow start, at least for the main plot to begin. However, the romance portion of this anime is blooming and flying right off the rails [hah.(sometimes I laugh at my own puns(?))].

So far, most of the romantic elements of the anime have been established.

Touko ----> Okikura Kakeru (boy above her)
Kakeru ---->???????
Yukinari Imi (guy on the top right) ------>Touko
Takayama Yanagi (girl with ribbon on head) ------> Imi (love triangle)
Shirosaki Hiro (boy in center) <-------> Nagamiya Sachi (still not sure if the girl is into him, glasses girl)

What intrigued me the most so far is the fact that right off the bat, some of the romantic elements have already been unveiled. At the end of episode 2, Imi has just confessed to Touko. Fast right? Unbelievably fast actually. I found that with such quick and impactful events happening so early in the anime, it has already grasped my interest and has given me a sense of longing for more. Touko of course, only seeing Imi as a friend says thanks and quickly leaves the scene. OH AND OF COURSE, Yanagi is watching everything unveil (the most ironic part is that Yanagi just the other day told Touko about her crush on Imi....  huehuehue). After this event, Touko wants to gain control over her psychic powers to see what will make and break her friendships and asks Kakeru (who is a strange boy who somehow knows about her powers) for help.

What I look forward most to in this anime is for how  Touko's psychic abilities will play a part in the relationships she holds with her friends. This just reminded me of its resemblance to Kokoro Connect where relationships were a core component of the whole anime but it was made interesting with a supernatural twist (that guy who messed up their lives by switching their bodies and etc.). I can't say that this is a generic slice of life anime as there is much more to consider other than just actions and decisions. I am looking  forward to seeing how this anime progresses and see a lot of potential in it.

I am back!

Hey, so I recently remembered about this blog that I created and since I have been watching an anime or two, have decided to continue it for as long as I can!

Currently I am watching GlassLips (Episode 4), and SAO 2 (Episode 5).

You can expect reviews on both these animes, and I must say, so far, both look promising.

Sword Art Online: Episode 20

The aerial combat really reminded me of Gundam Seed!
Episode Rating 9/10

YES! KIRITO COMPLETELY OWNS THAT GUY!

Anyways, on with the actual review.

So just as I predicted, instead of having something new that would become his speciality, he is able to dual wield 1 handed swords once again.

I don't quite understand it however because I thought that dual wielding was not one of the skills that were available, and that you wouldn't be able to use it :P. However, I won't complain cause it was so cool how he sent him flying!!!!

The ending......finally!!!! It took like 2-3 episodes from Asuna learning the pass code to the door to finally get out! Can not wait for the next episode, I can't wait for that Asuna and Kirito reunion! O yea, also the fact that Sugu will have the biggest face palm of her life!(but really, cmon, that is some pure irony right there)
