Sword Art Online: Episode 18

If only I could tell her that this was going nowhere!
         Episode Rating: 7/10

Well, this episode primarily focused on the ongoing relationship between Kirito and Leafa. I gotta say that it just sucks that we already know this is going nowhere however this episode basically focuses on their growing relationship. I'm pretty sure that Sugu is going to find out Kirito is her cousin/brother soon anyways so this is just weird.

The highlight of this episode was probably when Asuna used the mirror to figure out the passcode to the lock on her cage. I'm pretty sure that in the next episode, she will be escaping from that cage, however I have a strong feeling that she won't be let go so easily and early in the game, that would kind of eliminate the need for Kirito to go up the World Tree in the first place.

O yea.....of course there was that part when Sugou was touching up Asuna again (I swear he is like 10 years older than her.....) but I'll let it go for now since I'm sure he will get his ass kicked sooner or later.

Another thing I forgot to mention about ALO (Alfheim Online) is that the intensity from before in SAO is gone. I mean the need for survival and how people reacted to the death of a player was so intense but now that entire feeling is eliminated so it feels a bit lacking. I mean of course flying it as cool as ever :3 but it just feels lacking.

I really hope that Sugu figures out the next episode because I honestly can not stand to watch this anymore cause it is just so awkward. However I am also looking forward to Asuna breaking out, but also the end where you see people are tracking Leafa and Kirito, I can't wait to watch Kirito kick their asses since logically speaking, Kirito should be insanely overpowered in ALO.

Overall, this episode was okay, but I have to say that nothing to big actually stood out, and it was a pretty dull episode and because of this I can't give this episode a high rating. Although it does lead to a very exciting episode next week (I hope) in terms of this episode alone, it was pretty lacking in interest and action.

Tonari No Kaibutsu-Kun: Episode 1

An unexpected pairing, but a cute one at that!

Episode Rating: 10/10

Tonari No Kaibutsu-kun really delivered in terms of my expectations for a romantic comedy!

It starts off but discussing one of the main protagonists in the story, Shizuku, a girl currently in high school  She is one of the very secluded girls who has no friends and only focuses on her studies. Even after school all she likes to do is to go and study by herself.

Next we have Haru. At first he seems like the common delinquent who is always beating people up, but that assumption is easily tore apart when the episode progresses, you learn he is a kind, compassionate guy who can openly express himself (such as saying he loves Shizuku). He commonly has misconceptions of school and friendship since he has not had much experience with both. One face palm moment is when you learn he is naturally gifted. He can get higher marks than Shizuku on a mid term exam without even studying! The only problem about him is that he reacts very suddenly to things and often results in violence to the answer for all his problems.

As for the relationship between them, later in the episode Haru expresses his love for Shizuku and they start to develop their relationship at school and after school. The funny thing is, that both of them seem to have some misconceptions about love. Shizuku, having always been by herself doesn't understand exactly what it is she is feeling towards and Haru think its just something that is easy to understand and simple (when in truth it is not). Although this is a peculiar relationship, I think that it is awesome how each of them can learn something from the other.

Overall,  I really like this episode. it properly introduced the anime as a whole and honestly, the mixture of romance and comedy was very well balanced that I can't wait to watch the rest of the episodes! I look forward to reviewing the other episodes!

Btooom!: Episode 1

How dense is this guy....like honestly?

Episode Rating: 6/10

I must say, that Btooom! so far does not look to appealing, but this might just be how they executed the first episode.

First of all they start by introducing the game and I actually liked that they only used bombs. I can see how different strategies could be deployed with a different selection of bombs.

However the overall episode in my opinion was just a tad confusing and choppy. So first of it starts with him playing the game where he is finally able to reach the top ten in the world in terms of ranks in the game. Then all of a sudden, the screen displays the word "Start" and he is in the middle of a island and people are trying to kill him.

I'm pretty sure that this will be explained in the following episode, but after just watching through the episode, I was mostly confused for the most part and I really did not have any interest what so ever in seeing what happens to Sakamoto in the next episode.

Now let's get on with Sakamoto himself, I gotta say that he looks very weird at the beginning. He had so much indents in his face that it made it seem like it was really off. His actual character however was that of a normal geek, but more so because he was actually considered one of the best at the game Btooom! You can see his cocky nature in the beginning but it is actual backed by the fact that he is really smart when it comes to the game. However when it goes to real life, you can see how his attitude changes drastically and he becomes a totally scared, but that's normal for anyone who is suddenly put in a life/death situation.

I must say though, even though he can strategically plan as to how he will win and beat the other person, I must say that the biggest face palm moment, was so big that I really wanted to scream at him through my screen. For the bomb, basically there was a timer until it exploded...... honestly after playing Btooom! so much and also just from common sense, how did it take him so long to figure out that it was a timer? I was so shocked because any logical person could see that their was a timer and he wasted 2 bombs because he couldn't figure this out, it was just to impossible to be true!

I gotta say that I was pretty disappointed in this episode because he truly lacked in terms of information as well as common sense. Also, overall the flow of this episode was very choppy and was often hard to comprehend. I can`t say I really want to continue watching it but I will since I still have hope that this was just a one time thing, and I also really like this concept of combat so far.

A New Revalation

I just figured out something....

You actually have to watch the anime before you can write a review on it!!!! So please be understanding if I post later in the night or I only get to post 1 review a day because it actually takes more time than you may think!
